About Me

Spacecraft Air Revitalization System - Proof of Concept Device

After 30 years of working as a mechanical engineer, I retired.  As a former NASA engineer, realizing the importance of math and science in education,  I decided to become a math, chemistry and physics tutor to share my learning and experience with the future generations.  Helping many students understand basic math concepts to calculus and statistics, general chemistry and physics has been one of my greatest joys.

Teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) classes and  helping many students prepare for the GED, SAT, ACT and GRE tests have also enabled many students achieve their goals.  Periodically I offer free workshops to students of all ages to engage them in exciting fields such as robotics (See robotics section tab on this blog).

Tutoring can be done one on one in person, via the internet or in small groups.  I live in Houston near  Eldridge and West Little York and I will travel up to 15 miles to meet you.  If you prefer, I can tutor via the web via ZOOM. Feel free to call or text me at 832-563-8146 for more information.

  2. Marty took me through Pre-Calculus, Derivative and Integral Calculus and Chemistry and now he is helping with Statistics and Probability. Maybe we'll take up Physics next. I'm retired now and learning just because I want to. I wish I would have had a tutor like Marty when I was in school. I've enjoyed learning from Marty since 2012.

  3. Mr Macy tutored my daughter with 5th & 6th grade mathmetics in public & private schools. Not only did he bring her up to speed with the cirriculum, but he helped my daughter become CONFIDENT in her work! So I will say Mr Macy is very patient! In the last two years, I've NEVER heard him say, "No. That's wrong". And that approach is what has heled her the most. Not to mention Mr Macy knows his stuff. I always direct my friends to him when they have a child who needs help in math or science.

  4. Marty is the best he has been tutoring my son from 5 grade and continue during the summer into 6th grade and my son maintains an A to A+ average in math. I love Marty for his punctuality and patience many times he goes over the hour span with no extra charge. I will be using until my son graduates HS. Now Marty didn't know you worked for NASA just told Rad pretty interested lol. I give you A++++

  8. Marty is such a great tutor! My son went from barely passing 7th-grade Math to Masters on his STAR exam after weekly virtual meetings with Marty! His confidence has increased and his behavior at school has improved. Not knowing the answer or being confused was impacting more than his grade. Thank you Marty!
